Cook Out

We had a lot of fun cooking out with our friends Ryan & Ryan and Ben, Kelly & their baby Addison.
Ryan is pregnant and due this August. She had fun holding Hannah and playing with all 3 babies. Cade will have lots of girlfriends to choose from!
The food was delicious! I especially enjoyed the strawberry shortcake - it looked so good I had to take a picture of it!

Fun with Family!

Brad's sisters came home to visit last weekend. Unfortunately, I came down with a terrible stomach virus and wasn't able to visit much. I missed a delicious steak dinner and lots of laughs! Jill enjoyed helping mom give the girls their baths, but had a little trouble putting on Grace's diaper (note masking tape in pictures).

That night Brad came down with the stomach bug too and we were both horribly sick on Sunday. Thank goodness Brad's mom was able to take care of the girls for us - grandma to the rescue! Unfortunately, Brad's dad came down with the same virus and is still a bit under the weather.

Brad's parents sold their house and are moving out this week. They will still be living in Greenville for a while until they build their house on Lake Robinson. We are thankful for this because they have been a HUGE help with the girls (especially grandma). We are glad that we'll still get to see them often.

We are going to get the girls pictures made this weekend, so we'll let you know how it goes. We'll also be sending out the link so that you can all view the pictures online. There will also be a link to order pictures if you'd like.

Hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy!

So Big!

The girls had their follow up with Dr. Moll today and they are both doing great! Hannah weighs 11 pounds 10 ounces and Grace weighs 11 pounds 12 ounces. This is good news because they both lost a pound when they were sick. Hopefully we will all stay healthy now!

We took some pictures of the girls during and after bath time tonight. They both LOVE taking baths! I think they would stay in their tub for hours if we let them. The only part of bath time they don't like is getting dressed. After their bath, we usually let them lay in our bed and then feed them their last evening bottle. As you can see in the pictures, Hannah loves snuggling with her sister.
We'll post more updates and pictures soon!

Update

I wanted to post an update on the girls. Hannah is doing 100% better since coming home from the hospital. Grace is still getting over RSV and an ear infection, but is feeling much better. One thing we've learned about "peanut" is that she HATES medicine! It is so difficult to get her to take her Amoxicillin (yes, we've tried everything - holding her cheeks, blowing in her face, putting the medicine in a bottle nipple, etc.). Thankfully she only has a couple more days of it! They both have a follow up on Thursday with their pediatrician, so I'll post another update then.

The girls are really starting to show their personalities. Hannah/"bug" is so laid back and smiles all the time. Grace/"peanut" is also laid back, but has a little attitude (we think she takes after her Aunt Laura). She is hilarious! Yesterday, I was doing "tummy time" with the girls and Grace kept letting me know that she was unhappy by letting out a high-pitched squeak. She also "squeaks" when it's medicine time or when she gets really hungry. It is so funny!

I will post more pictures soon. We have a couple of "thumb-suckers" on our hands, so I'm trying to get a picture of that too.

Check back soon!

Hannah's Hospital Stay

The last few days have been extremely exhausting and scary for our family. Thursday night Hannah spiked a fever of 104 degress and was having trouble breathing. She was hospitalized and diagnosed with RSV, a severe and very contagious respiratory virus. Thursday night was rough - she had a chest x-ray, blood work, catheter, etc. She was given oxygen to help her breathe until this morning. Since she was able to breathe on her own all day, we were able to come home tonight.

Grace is okay, but is showing symptoms of RSV too. Their pediatrician, Dr. Moll, wants to see them both tomorrow morning. Hopefully Grace will not need to be hospitalized.

I also have the virus, but thankfully it is just a really bad cold for adults. So far Brad is not sick, so hopefully he will not get it. Please pray for our family to get well soon! We are definitely ready for Spring!

Sick Day

I took Hannah back to the pediatrician today because she is still extremely congested and has a terrible cough. She was diagnosed with Bronchiolitis and was put on an antibiotic. I asked Dr. Moll if he thought Grace would get sick and he said it would be a miracle if she didn't get sick. Please pray that "peanut" doesn't get sick and that "bug" gets better soon!
