We enjoyed the long, Holiday weekend with our friends (Jackson, Lesley, & McKinley Griffith) at Litchfield Beach. We had so much fun! Here is how our weekend went...
On Friday, we slept in (yeah right - girls' were awake by 7) and then Lesley and I went grocery shopping. When we got home, we headed to the pool before lunch and naps. That evening we went out to eat at The Crab House to celebrate Lesley's birthday, but before that we went to the beach to take pictures. After dinner, we rode the Carousal with the girls - they LOVED it and cried when we left.
It was cloudy and rainy on Saturday, so us girls headed to the Outlets for some shopping while the boys went fishing. As you can see, the girls were tired just thinking of all the shopping we were going to do...
Later that evening, we headed down to walk on the beach and take more pictures. Grace did NOT like the sand that day, but Hannah and McKinley enjoyed it.
On Sunday, we woke up to beautiful weather! It was a perfect beach day! Hannah loved the sand immediately, but Grace took a while to get used to it. But, by the end of the day she was throwing sand all over the place and having a blast. McKinley wasn't scared at all - she loved being in the sand and water. Later that afternoon, we made a flag cake in honor of Memorial Day and had some friends over for dinner.
On Monday, we finished packing and then spent a couple of hours at the pool. We were hoping that the girls would be so tired that they would sleep most of the way home - WRONG! They slept for the first 2 hours and were wide awake most of the way home. They were a little fussy, but did well for the most part.
We arrived home around 6:30 pm safe and sound. God Bless America!
